iCare (Insurance & Care NSW) is the NSW Government's workers compensation and personal injury insurer. If you've been injured at work, iCare manages your claim and can fund a range of services to support your recovery — including in-home assistance.
Depending on your injury and treatment plan, iCare may fund domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, cooking), personal care, transport to medical appointments, garden maintenance, and modifications to your home to support your recovery.
Your treating doctor or specialist will usually recommend in-home support as part of your treatment plan. Your case manager (appointed by your insurer) will then assess what services are appropriate. Once approved, you can choose a registered provider like Western Sydney Recovery Care to deliver those services.
Yes — as an iCare-funded client, you have the right to choose a registered provider that suits you. We encourage you to ask your case manager about your options. WSRC is a fully registered iCare provider, and our coordinators can liaise directly with your case manager to set everything up.
